Full 2013 Telluride Bluegrass Festival lineup announced: Mumford & Sons, String Cheese Incident and more

The 2013 Telluride Bluegrass Festival will announce the rest of its 40th anniversary lineup this afternoon, and there’s some big news about to come from those southwestern Colorado hills.

Platinum selling, Grammy-winning indie folk act Mumford & Sons will return to their adopted home of TBF for the third time in four years when the festival takes over Telluride Town Park on June 20-23, 2013.

Other new additions to the 2013 Telluride Bluegrass Festival lineup include the String Cheese Incident, Dispatch, Greensky Bluegrass, the Milk Carton Kids, Chris Thile, Bela Fleck and a supergroup called the Masters of Bluegrass (featuring Del McCoury, Bobby Osborne, J.D. Crowe, Bobby Hicks and Jerry McCoury).

Thursday, June 20, 2013: Mumford & Sons, Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, Richard Thompson, Steep Canyon Rangers, Greensky Bluegrass, the Milk Carton Kids, Elephant Revival and Chris Thile.

Friday, June 21, 2013: Dispatch, the Masters of Bluegrass, the String Cheese Incident, Punch Brothers, Peter Rowan, Trampled by Turtles, Tim O’Brien, Lake Street Dive, Sarah Jarosz

Saturday, June 22, 2013: Leftover Salmon, Sam Bush Band, Feist, Telluride Troubadour, Yonder Mountain String Band, Jerry Douglas Band, Sara Watkins, BlueBilly Grit, Telluride Band Contest

Sunday, June 23, 2013: Telluride House Band featuring Sam, Béla, Jerry, Edgar, Bryan & Stuart, Jackson Browne, Hot Rize, Natalie MacMaster & Donnell Leahy, the Infamous Stringdusters, Béla FleckSister Shocked & The Campbell Brothers

    Yes the person who books Telluride is into crap like Mumford. All dynamics, little substance. His love affair with Glenn Hansard is a running joke with regulars. It’s the 40th – we are going of course But it be nice if “Country & Bluegrass” festival returned to its roots.

      Are you thinking maybe New Grass Revival and Emmy and Rodney, or were you hoping for Hot Rize? Little late for Johnny Cash and Bill Monroe, tho suppose Ophelia Swing Band is still around? wtf are you talking about?
