Grizzly Bear announced a handful of North American tour dates yesterday on it’s Facebook, but Colorado wasn’t mentioned on the list. That is, however, until a number of commenters on the Facebook post begged the New York indie rock band to stop in Denver.
So Grizzly Bear, being the friendly, chatty hipsters that they are responded to these grievances with a comment of their own.
“Colorado and Florida sit tight…. (smiley face),” the comment reads. Grizzly Bear hasn’t played in Denver for years.
This comment was on a post announcing a few shows with the XX, who have already announced a show at the Fillmore Auditorium in June. Maybe this means Grizzly Bear could be added to the XX’s show. The venue is big enough, and the Live Nation news release for the XX date says that openers are yet to be announced.
Check back with Reverb and we’ll let you know when we hear anything more official.

6/7 – Montreal, QC @ Lachine Canal
6/8 – Boston, MA @ Bank of America Pavilion
6/9 – New York, NY @ Governor’s Ball Music Festival
6/11 – Columbus, OH @ The LC Pavilion
