There’s the beer (kegs) and the food (eggs) and the music (they are a radio station), and it all goes down on St. Patrick’s Day weekend.
Definitely, yes. Count us in.
The modern rock station announced the Keggs & Eggs 2013 Denver line up today, and here’s the deal: Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls, ZZ Ward and the Nuns of Brixton will play the event at the LoDo’s Bar & Grill (LoDo location, not Highlands Ranch or Westminster) at 7 a.m. March 15.
Turner is the former hardcore kid who has since found solace (and success) in pop melody. Ward is the Adele-esque singer who sold out the Larimer Lounge in December. The Nuns of Brixton is the all-dude, Denver-based Clash cover band that drapes themselves in nun habits for each gig.
Tickets to the show are free. Some listeners will win guaranteed admission, while others will wait in line, as it’s first come, first served until the small venue reaches capacity.
“Sometimes the line starts when the bar closes the night before,” Channel 93.3 morning DJ Josh Goodman told Reverb after announcing the show on the air this morning. “Last year, there were people out there at 7 and 8 p.m. with tents and dogs. It was wild.”
