As an overall fan of EDM (and not being bias in any way), the author of this article was waaaaaay too harsh on Deadmau5. As a start, Deadmau5 is a mainly progressive-house artist/producer, and only has 2 or 3 dubstep tracks. In fact, Deadmau5 has even said that he “Hates” dubstep. Secondly, it’s a shame that Joel (Deadmau5) gets such a bad rap simply because of his sarcastic attitude and quirky personality. He’s actually a very intelligent and humorous figure who deserves much more respect than this article provides. He’s probably the biggest pioneer the EDM genre! However, I will say that the author got one thing right about him – He should have kept “Professional Griefers” as an instrumental…Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) ruined the song for me…

It’s ridiculous to hear the disrespect for “deadmau5″ aka Joel Zimmerman. He is a pioneer and no doubt the spark for all present electronic producers. PS So far the only DUBstep I’ve ever heard from him was on his “Raise Your Weapon” track.

deadmau5… dubstep? What? Do you actually think that deadmau5 is part of the “current generation of artists subverting dubstep”?
