According to Rolling Stone, Skrillex, like Elvis and the Beatles, is getting his own Cirque du Soleil choreographed show, to be performed in the new nightclub LIGHT.
“It’s not about having acrobats for my set,” he told Rolling Stone. “For me, personally, the objective is to have something based around your music and something you want to dance to, not something you want to stare at the whole time. But how do you make the environment completely immersive? I think that’s the goal for my show, at least.”
LIGHT is set to open on April 26, and will also feature Sebastian Ingrosso, Zedd and Baauer as resident DJs.
Meanwhile, Britney Spear’s Vegas gig is slightly more up in the air.
Spears and her team are currently finalizing talks to make a series of gigs happen at a major Las Vegas hotel owned by Caeser’s Entertainment Group, according to E! News.
“We are in deep negotiations and I’d be shocked if it didn’t happen. Hoping to have a deal done very soon,” said Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, in a statement obtained by E! News.
If Spears decides to go with a three-year run, her payday could exceed $100 million – a figure on-par with Las Vegas mainstays like Celine Dion.
As most people do when hinting at a multiple-million dollar deal, Spears retweeted her dog on Sunday (who yes… does have its own Twitter account).
“I don’t think so honey #vivalasvegas,” she wrote, in response to her dog’s tweet, “Mommy, are dogs allowed to gamble in vegas? Gonna cash all my bones in for chips.”
