Platinum-selling pop act fun. just announced the biggest tour of its short life, and the “Most Nights” outing will have the six-piece playing some of the most storied venues in North America – including Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison.

fun. will headline Red Rocks on Aug. 22 with Tegan and Sara opening, Atlantic Records announced Monday. Other big dates on the tour include opening night at Toronto’s Downsview Park on July 6, Pier 26 in New York on July 22 and Berkeley’s Greek Theatre on Sept. 6.

The group is the first rock band to be nominated for song, record and album of the year Grammys – along with a best new artist nod. We’ll see how they do on Sunday when the Grammys air, but regardless of how they perform there, they have the satisfaction of knowing that “Some Nights” was recently certified platinum.
