1) Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Friday, sold out
There’s not much more Colorado than this. Make it two years in a row that Rocky Mountain music fans have proved they are rugged enough to stand outside in the dead of winter to watch bands at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Winter on the Rocks returns on Friday with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and there’s not a single ticket left that aptly reads “Snow or Shine.” The performers are famous for the hit “Thrift Shop,” which is fittingly about a coat bought at a second hand store. With the single, the duo has taken off in recent months — especially in Colorado, where they’ve played three times in as many months. Even if you’re sick of MRL or never liked the music to begin with, you can’t deny that a snow dusted Red Rocks would be a site to behold.
