Tool members involved in separate scooter accidentsBy Kelsey Fowler | January 31st, 2013 | 1 Comment »
Hard rock band Tool has faced a rough road this month — literally. As the January “Tool Newsletter” explains, not one, but two people with the band have been involved in separate Vespa scooter accidents lately.
Slick road conditions are apparently to blame for a “minor” accident in which an unidentified member suffered from several broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder. Sadly, “9 DAYS of jamming were lost” because of the “physical nature” of the musical instrument — making drummer Danny Carey our best guess.
A different, still unidentified member of Tool took a spill on his Vespa earlier this week as well, causing “a head injury (as well as multiple cuts and bruises to his body).”
Thankfully, reporters at Consequence of Sound seem fairly certain neither accident involved guitarist Adam Jones, as he looked fit as a fiddle proposing to his girlfriend during WWE’s Royal Rumble over the weekend.
