How long can Wavves ride this surf-rock sound? It’s been a pretty legitimate question since the band drew attention with its self-titled, debut album. And since then, the band has cleaned up its sound a little bit from the cassette and vinyl releases that got Wavves noticed in 2008. With its fourth album, “Afraid of Heights,” due out on March 26, the music is still a bit rough around the edges, but the party has moved away from the beach.
You can listen to Wavves’ new song, “Demon to Lean On,” from the upcoming album below.
Along with detailing the new album, Wavves announced a series of dates in 2013, which includes a stop in Denver at the Larimer Lounge on March 27 a day after “Afraid of Heights” is released.
