Paramore announced today that the band will embark on its first North American tour since 2010, kicking off on April 25 in Houston, Texas.
The multi-platinum selling band is joined by Los Angeles alt-rock band Kitten, and will make stops in major markets throughout the U.S. to promote the self-titled album out on April 9. Paramore will hit Denver on May 7 at the Fillmore Auditorium.
Pre-sales for the tour will be available Jan. 28 by invitation only to members of Paramore Fan Club and Singles Club. The general public can purchase tickets beginning Feb. 1. All concert dates are available at www.paramore.net/tour.
The upcoming release of “PARAMORE” marks the first release from the band in more than three years. “Now”, the first single off the album can heard on the band’s website http://Paramore.net. According to a press release from Warner Music Group, the music video for “Now” (directed by award-winning filmmaker/dancer Daniel Cloud Campos) is currently in post-production with a premiere date slated for mid-February.
Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis, and guitarist Taylor York released album details late last year via personal blog announcements: “The whole making of this album was a rediscovering of ourselves as a band and as friends. It was a process that allowed us the freedom to explore new territory artistically and to liberate ourselves as musicians, singers, as people! Sincerely, we feel that the best way to give it a name is just to call it what it is. This album is us.”
