To build the excitement for a new EP slated for release on Tuesday, Flux Pavilion has given fans a sneak peek by releasing the first single, “I Feel It.” Listen to Flux Pavilion’s new single off the upcoming EP below.
Built off a set of pulsating rhythms and burly bass line, “I Feel It” is a lesson in EDM tropes. Notice the low-to-high dynamic, the exuberant synth riff and a keen sense of repetition, a trait not as easy to achieve as some might think.
Flux Pavilion (English producer Joshua Steele) first appeared on critics’ radar with 2010’s “I Can’t Stop.” The song is a feisty slice of dubstep which, among other achievements, bridged the gap between “Watch The Throne” and KONY 2012. He’s been plenty busy since, from remixing M.I.A. and Skrillex to collaborating with Childish Gambino and Major Lazer. His 2013 schedule is filling up too, including a return to the Global Dub Festival, which will take place at Red Rocks in May.
His new EP, “Blow The Roof,” is slated for release on Jan. 29. Tickets to the Global Dub Festival are on sale now.
