Trevor Powers, aka Youth Lagoon, the Boise, Idaho, one-man pop machine, has announced the follow-up to 2011’s “The Year Of Hibernation.” The 10-song “Wondrous Bughouse” is due out on March 5 on Fat Possum, but Youth Lagoon has released the album’s first single, “Dropla,” which you can hear below.
Though production has cleaned up noticeably, “Dropla” largely picks up where “The Year Of Hibernation” left off, continuing Youth Lagoon’s bedroom-oriented confessional sound.
With the new album comes a slew of new tour dates, and among them is a March 1 date at Larimer Lounge. It will be Youth Lagoon’s first performance since his July 5, 2012 show at the Bluebird Theatre with Father John Misty.
