It’s hard to deny Samuel L. Jackson is definitely a badass. His cover of Taylor Swift’s mega-hit “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is simply more proof.

In an interview with the U.K.’s Capitol FM station, Jackson performed an impromptu version of the pop song chorus, and made it infinitely more awesome. Sadly, the actor didn’t sing the entire track, so no one gets to hear him say, “Like, everrrrrrrr.” But, he did add in a few curse words for good measure, including having your “dumb-ass friends” to talk to after the break-up.

While it can’t be qualified as singing per say — think more of a spoken word, open mic vibe — Jackson certainly puts his signature style into the otherwise one-note single.
