New York garage rock label Woodsist announced that it has signed Portland rock trio the Woolen Men. The new album is the group’s first full-length, but comes after a slew of mostly self-released EPs. The announcement on the label’s web site explains that:
“Instead of changing their technique of recording fast and loose to capture the live energy of their sound, they recorded and recorded and recorded until they had enough songs to make up an album only of material with that elusive spark of a great recording.”
The Woolen Men’s debut album is due out in March, but you can listen to the first released track off of it, “Mayonnaise,” below:
