SnowBall has made its final announcements of artists on the lineup for the third annual music festival.
The newly announced additions include Flying Lotus, Japandroids, Krewella, Surfer Blood and The Presets. Included also are several of Colorado’s finer musical acts, including Tennis, Yamn, Rumtum, School Knights, Robotic Pirate Monkey and Cold River City.
Give SnowBall organizers credit for rounding out their line-up with a truly impressive batch. The three-day event is a must-see for any electronic fan, and now has plenty to offer for everyone who doesn’t know who Porter Robinson is.
Colorado’s local scene seems primed for another resurgence on the scope of 2009 — the year the rest of the nation became familiar with names like Pretty Lights, Pictureplane and Candy Claws. It doesn’t hurt when big events like SnowBall manage to fit worthwhile local talent in among the superstars. As any given Japandroid bro might find something fun in Boulder’s School Knights, so the masses at Portugal. The Man‘s set might enjoy Denver’s Yamn. Regardless of listening habits, this year’s event will be worth a look into.
SnowBall Music Festival is taking place on the weekend of March 8 in Winter Park, Colorado. Tickets are on sale now at the festival’s website.
