Best Denver concerts this week: the Lumineers, the Black Angels, STS9 and more (12/28/12-01/03/13)By Matt Miller | December 28th, 2012 | 2 comments
1) The Lumineers, Dec 30-31, Ogden Theatre, SOLD OUT
Complete with Grammy nominations, an invite to play on “Saturday Night Live” and a whirlwind of commercial success, the Lumineers are topping off a spectacular 2012 with two concerts in the state it calls home. The Colorado folk group plays the Ogden Theatre on Sunday and Monday, where the crowd and band each have something to celebrate. Unfortunately both nights have been sold out for awhile now, but for a show that promises this much positive energy, it might be worth getting some tickets secondhand. Your call: Tickets were selling for $250 on craigslist as of press time. Great local openers include Nathaniel Rateliff on Sunday and Paper Bird on Monday.
