Iron Butterfly bassist, Lee Dorman, has been found dead in his Orange County, Calif., home, TMZ is reporting. He was 70 years old.

Dorman played on the iconic rock album “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida.” The album has sold more than 30 million copies and is among the top selling records in history.

    First album I ever bought! I must have listened to it a million times. Lol. Or at least often enough that it wore out and I had to buy a new one. Several times. I had the pleasure of finally seeing Iron Butterfly about 10 years ago at the Buffalo Rose, with Mike Pinera. I was quite surprised to discover that these guys were all way more talented musicians than I’d thought. I’ll be listening to it today in Lee’s memory. Thanks, man.
