Four-day passes for the Telluride Bluegrass Festival 2013 sold out after just three-and-a-half hours of going on sale — a record time, said Brian Eyster, marketing director for TBGF. Last year, passes sold out in 18 days; the year before that, a few months.
All that, and there hasn’t been so much as a single band announced yet. But that’s about to change. The summer solstice with which the festival coincides may still be six months away, but on the winter solstice this Friday, the first batch of names performing at the 2013 Telluride Bluegrass Festival will be announced. We’ll be posting the announcement as it comes, so be sure and check here on Friday for more information.
Those hoping to head down for a day or two should look to grab some of the few remaining one-day passes. Just don’t wait too long: Passes for Saturday have already sold out, and Eyster said Friday is soon to follow.
