Unless the world ends on Dec. 21, Denver-based folk band, the Lumineers, will be 2013’s first Saturday Night Live musical guest. This performance comes in the wake of two surprising Grammy nominations for the band and an all around awesome 2012.
Jennifer Lawrence, a.k.a Katniss from “The Hunger Games,” will host the episode, which is on Jan. 10.
Other Denver-linked artists who made it big, including the Fray, OneRepublic, Big Head Todd and the Monsters and even John Denver, have never graced the stage in Studio 8H… at least according to this handy guide of SNL hosts and musical guests.
Hopefully the Lumineers pull an Aerosmith, and actually star in a sketch.
