Jay-Z and Robert De Niro throw down at Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday partyBy Matt Miller | November 15th, 2012 | No Comments »
Who would win in a fight: Jay-Z or Robert De Niro? That’s a hypothetical question that will probably never be answered in our lifetime, but it would be an awesome premise for a video game.
Last week, Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday party played out like an episode of “My Super Sweet 16” — with a Jay-Z and De Niro throwdown. The New York Post reports that De Niro called Jay rude during an argument in front of a roomful of celebrities.
According to witnesses, it all started when Jay-Z walked over to De Niro’s table to say hello. But then all hell broke loose because De Niro was peeved that Hova never calls him back.
Is the more appropriate response to be terrified or giddy with excitement while witnessing this?
“Everyone was saying there’s only one star in New York bigger and badder than Jay-Z, and that’s Robert De Niro,” a source told the New York Post. “He can be quite scary when he’s angry.”
Well, Jay-Z wasn’t too busy playing in Denver to answer De Niro’s calls, that’s for sure. The last time the rapper was scheduled to play in Denver in October of last year, it was cancled due to overwhelming demand.
Really, it’s probably best not to pick sides.
