The first concert announcements of 2013 are beginning to trickle in — a notoriously slow time in the Rocky Mountain region wherein drivers of lurching buses and ominous white vans face a legitimate fear of Colorado’s slippery mountain passes.
Luckily, a few notable acts brave the elements in the January-February valley before the market picks back up in late March after the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas. One such band in early 2013 will be the Minnesota-based, Colorado-adored Trampled By Turtles, which announced a slew of new dates Tuesday morning.
The winter tour finds the band still on the road in support of its 2012 release “Stars and Satellites.” TBT last played Colorado with a memorable set at the 2012 RockyGrass Festival, one of the long weekend’s strongest performances.
Tickets for the Ogden dates, $27.50 per show, go on sale 10 a.m. Saturday through axs.com.
