Chris Robinson brought his new musical collective, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, to the Fox Theatre on Saturday night for an evening of jam-rock that the audience won’t soon forget. The packed house danced and swayed to the band’s songs, singing along to many, and taking in the Dead-influenced spacey instrumentals with huge grins. The spot-on harmonies and stellar vocals, especially rousing on a late evening cover of O.V. Wright’s R&B classic “That’s How Strong My Love Is,” were only made better by the screaming guitar solos of Neal Casal.
