The Wailers brought a bit of Bob Marley’s legend to the Bluebird Theater on Thursday. Historian and member of Marley’s inner circle, Roger Steffens, made the trip from Los Angeles to give a presentation on the roots of not only Marley, but of the Wailers’ Survival tour of the late ’70s. The wailing Wailers then took to the stage to perform “Survival” in its entirety for the first time ever in front of a live audience. After a short break, the band returned to play a second set of favorites — “Redemption Song,” “Is This Love?,” and “I Shot the Sheriff,” among others.
