It was a perfect Saturday evening at Red Rocks when two bands with long musical histories took to the big stage in Morrison. Canada’s Barenaked Ladies was up first, performing a selection of hits with a smattering of new material, even throwing in a medley of pop classics at the end that kept those in attendance bouncing and calling out for more. From “One Week” to “Brian Wilson,” they did not disappoint this packed house of eager fans. Colorado’s own Big Head Todd and the Monsters took the stage next, bringing with them a pulsating light show and even a 10 minute intro of movie theater cartoons. Todd Park Mohr and the gang proved that they can still rock with the best of them. All that was missing was the popcorn.
