Mile Marker: An HorseBy Reverb Staff | May 4th, 2012 | No Comments »
Upon first listen, An Horse is not the most accessible band in the world. Lead singer Kate Cooper has a raspy whine that falls in and out of key, but there’s no escaping the sheer earnestness in her voice. Drummer Damon Cox drives the songs forward with a pop/punk sensibility and a pounding-machine-gun snare (check out “Leave Me” for a better idea of what we mean). The duo was in town for a show at the Hi-Dive and furiously rocked the intimate quarters of Uneven Studio for this four-song session. Stream and download at your leisure below, it’s there for you.
