Can’t Hardly Wait: Emmylou Harris to play Red Rocks with Steve Martin

Folk, bluegrass and country fans take note: A big summer Red Rocks announcement just came through the pipeline.

Emmylou Harris and her Red Dirt Boys are a big enough draw at Red Rocks Amphitheatre to justify a solo show there. The singer-songwriter’s career spans four decades and countless genres, and she’s done well at that legendary venue in the past.

But adding comedian-turned-musician Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers and latter-day folk icon Arlo Guthrie ensures a sold out concert.

Tickets for the July 18 performance, $45-$95, are on sale 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster.

Great! Love Emmylou and have been following her music since the 70s. Saw her at TBF last summer. I just wish she would switch her support from that wack PETA to something more normal- like the ASPCA. PETA wouldn’t even kill a mosquito that was carrying yellow fever.
