The Westword Music Showcase is always a good summertime party, and our peers down Broadway have just announced a few of their headliners for this year’s festival – including mash-up master Girl Talk.

Who else is playing the bash on June 23?

According to Westword music editor Dave Herrera, the showcase will also feature electronic freaks Battles along with hip-hopper Macklemore with Ryan Lewis – along with 150 local acts, of course.

Girl Talk is a coup for Westword, which has worked with promoter AEG Live in the last few years to secure its headliners – including past players Ghostland Observatory, Chromeo and others.

Should be a fun dance party – and a proper warm-up to our annual music festival, the 12th annual Denver Post Underground Music Showcase, which will take over South Broadway from July 19-22.
