News: Mayhem Festival to bring Slipknot, Slayer, more to Comfort Dental Amphitheatre this summer

The Mayhem Festival will return for a fifth year this summer with its usual stop at Comfort Dental Amphitheatre in Englewood.

Modern masked metalheads Slipknot will co-headline the traveling tour alongside one of the genre’s foremost acts, Slayer.

The Mayhem Festival has surpassed Ozzfest as metal’s most prominent, high-profile traveling spectacle.

Anthrax, considered one of “The Big 4″ metal acts (along with Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica) will headline the Jagermeister side stage at the event. As I Lay Dying, the Devil Wears Prada and Asking Alexandria are among the rotating bands on the tour, according to the release.

Tickets for the July 8 stop at Comfort Dental Amphitheatre go on sale Friday, April 6 through Live Nation.
