This weekend: Brad Paisley, BleachedBy John Hendrickson | January 20th, 2012 | No Comments »
Brad Paisley will bring his Camobunga World Tour to Denver’s Pepsi Center on Saturday night with the Band Perry and Scott McCreery of “American Idol” fame in tow. As one of the most recognizable names in contemporary country music, Paisley’s concert Saturday is slated to be among the genre’s biggest shows of the year in Denver, second only to the Kenny Chesney/Tim McGraw tour that will rock the house that Tebow built this July. Tickets for the Pepsi Center show, $25-$59.75, are available through TicketHorse. Stock Show fans, this is where you say “yippee!”
Bleached was one of our favorite musical discoveries during October’s CMJ Music Marathon in New York. Fans of Vivian Girls and Best Coast will dig the punky female vocals and surf guitars, but any music lover will appreciate the band’s sheer dedication to hooks. It’s a less optimistic take on the sunny California sound — a bit edgier, a bit more lonesome. Catch Bleached at the Hi-Dive on Sunday with choice local openers School Knights and Sauna. Tickets, $10, are available through hi-dive.com.
