Mile Marker: Tapes ‘n TapesBy Reverb Staff | December 30th, 2011 | 2 comments
We were thrilled to have Tapes ‘n Tapes stop by Uneven Studio a few months ago when they were in town for a headlining show at the Bluebird Theater with Denver locals the Chain Gang of 1974. The Twin Cities indie rockers have been on our radar since their 2006 breakout single “Cowbell” — pioneering a form of complex-yet-catchy indie-rock that had previously eluded mass audiences. The three songs below carry a sense of exclusivity and uniqueness that you won’t find on album versions — from the pitter patter of the single snare drum to the delicate tones floating from the melodica.
