Mile Marker: Sarah JaffeBy Reverb Staff | December 9th, 2011 | No Comments »
Sarah Jaffe’s afternoon at Uneven Studio was a beautiful, delicate, stripped-down affair, and probably the most intense day we’ve had there since Nathaniel Rateliff’s session last fall. You can hear the pain in Jaffe’s voice hidden beneath the sweetness, and her light acoustic strumming/picking recalls the likes of M. Ward and Iron & Wine. “Nurture It” has a quiet beauty that begs repeat listens. Hear it for yourself, download if you wish, and come back next week for more.
