Photo essay: The Gourds @ the Fox TheatreBy | November 14th, 2011 | No Comments »
Nothing says autumn like those beautiful multicolored pumpkins and squashes lining front porches. When one mentions Gourds, however, what comes to mind is a raucous, yodeling mix of rockabilly, folk, bluegrass, country and just plain old foot stompin’ good times. This Texas-based band, which has been together for over 17 years, played their first ever show at the Fox Theatre on Saturday night. Opening acts included Missed the Boat, a bluegrass band from Steamboat Springs, and one man band Eagle Eye Williamson.
