The Clyfford Still Museum opens later this month, and Denver rock act DeVotchKa will play the organization’s grand opening celebration, Reverb has learned.
En Route Denver will take over the new museum space on Nov. 18, and DeVotchKa — the Grammy nominees who just headlined two big Halloween shows this last weekend at the Ogden and Boulder theaters — will headline the show, the band will announce later today. Reverb is a sponsor of the event.
“The Clyfford Still Museum is honored to partner with internationally acclaimed DeVotchKa as we celebrate the opening of our new Museum and one of America’s greatest painters, Clyfford Still,” Dean Sobel, director of Clyfford Still Museum, said in a release. “We sought out entertainment that would emulate our passion for the arts, as well as bring Denver residents its hometown stars as we mark this magnificent addition to the already burgeoning Arts and Cultural Scene.”
Tickets for the event, which start $125, are available at clyffordstillmuseum.org or 720-354-4875.
