Photo essay: The Head and the Heart @ the Gothic TheatreBy | October 11th, 2011 | No Comments »
The Head and the Heart brought its folky sound to the Gothic Theatre in Englewood Monday night, keeping the sold-out venue swaying from beginning to end. Along with openers The Devil Whale and Thao + the Get Down Stay Down, the band proved that the indie folk scene is anything but dead with their catchy lyrics and bouncy melodies. This Seattle-based band and its touring companions have come a long way, and if the crowd in attendance was any indication, they won’t be fading into the background anytime soon.
