It’s hard to believe the UMS was only a month ago — it seems much longer. We reported on the various house parties and tangent events that took place that weekend (remember this?), and we’ve been waiting anxiously to see video from the marathon Brass Tree house show that took place on Saturday of the festival. Here’s a first look:

From the Brass Tree team:
The UMS might be our favorite time of the year*. No joke. It combines two things that are great. Summer and jams. Even better, it happens about a block away from our house. During UMS we can walk out our door, eat some Sweet Action ice cream, see all of our favorite locals, find out about some rad touring bands and then pass out on our couch from an overdose of fun.
This year it was even better because we have a show to run. What better way to participate in the neighborhood-wide musical lovefest than to open up our house and ask some great bands to play? There is no better way. We checked. We really hope we can do it again next year.
Here is part 1 of a two-part episode about our UMS day party.
It will be broken up in to three sections here, so be sure to watch all of them!
This section features Wombmates playing “Sleep.”
*We also love the Westword Showcase; the WMS is not however a block from our house so it loses the (imaginary) contest because we are lazy. Shit is like a half mile away.
