Tim McGraw, who last year visited Comfort Dental Amphitheatre to the same packed, adoring cowboy and cowgirl hat-wearing crowd, took a slightly different approach to opening his concert, entering from the side and wading through the audience, touching hands and weaving to a stage — in the middle of the venue — no larger than a standard table top. Gleeful fans crowded around, phones pointed at the Grammy-winning country music star, who despite starting to show some age, still showcased a rich, smooth voice and sterling American smile. From there, McGraw began belting out two songs before moving to the main stage for the rest of the show. The Band Perry and Luke Bryan, both of which received warm reception from the audience, opened.
