Mile Marker: TelekinesisBy Reverb Staff | July 29th, 2011 | 3 comments
Telekinesis’ sophomore album — this year’s “12 Desperate Straight Lines” — was passed around our office more than any other record in recent memory. It’s a catchy, accessible, yet still rocking collection of songs that begs repeat listens on headphones or on a car stereo. We knew we wanted to have Michael Benjamin Lerner and his live trio in for a Mile Marker as soon as we heard the record. We were even more sure of that after seeing them live at the Spin loft during this year’s South By Southwest festival in Austin, Tex. Lerner plays drums while singing lead vocals — not an easy feat — but he does so with total ease. Enjoy these five live tracks recorded at Uneven Studio in Denver specifically for you, our loyal Reverb readers, and come back next week for more.
