Photo essay: INXS @ the Ogden TheatreBy | July 27th, 2011 | 5 comments
INXS played to a full house at the Ogden Theatre on Monday night. The band continues to rely on the Farriss brothers — Andrew, Jon and Tim — for its distinctively funky rock sound, but current frontman J.D. Fortune did an admirable job both on vocals and as a performer. The band doesn’t have the same edge it did in the days of Michael Hutchence, but still carried the INXS classics in respectable fashion. The band’s current tour in support of the compilation album “Original Sin” may be a momentum-builder for a new record, if there’s anything to the comments Andrew and Tim Farriss have been making in the past few months. It’s been six years since the band’s last album “Switch,” and fans are ready.
