Blitzen Trapper took the Bluebird stage and hugged it aggressively last night. The band’s raucous, electrified folk gave the crowd equal opportunity to sing along wistfully with the slow songs and stomp away with heavy rockers. Blitzen Trapper’s sound is perhaps the best way to answer the “what if?” we’ve all been asking: What if Queen had been fronted by Bob Dylan? The bandmembers deftly muscled their way through favorites from their last three releases. They played several songs from “American Goldwing,” their upcoming album, and finished their encore with a stunning cover of Zep’s “Good Times Bad Times.”
