Watch A Shoreline Dream’s video for “Ukraine”
Who says you can’t make a video for a song that came out four years ago? A Shoreline Dream did just that and they’re also “nearing completion” of their new album, scheduled for release in September. The guys were profiled in GQ UK and talked about their unique relationship with German music manipulator, Ulrich Schnauss, that you can read over here.
Thurston Moore, ringleader of indie-rock godfathers Sonic Youth, will be teaching a writing workshop up at Naropa University in Boulder from July 4-9. He’ll be rubbing elbows with DJ Spooky and producer Hal Wilnder as part of the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics. I wonder if I brought a guitar if he’d show me a couple of chords? Moore is supporting his smashing solo album, “Demolished Thoughts,” and played a Takeaway session for La Blogotheque that you can watch below. Thanks to Colorado Daily for the heads up. Buffalo Springfield with Richie Furay play Bonnaroo, talk reunion tour
Buffalo Springfield with Richie Furay just played their heart and souls out for the whipper-snappers over at Bonnaroo last weekend. Furay just unleashed a land mine, stating that not only will Buffalo Springfield tour this September, but a new album is in the works and according to Rolling Stone, they will be playing Red Rocks.
Hollagramz give away new remix album
Hollagramz are feeling pretty benevolent these days, because they have just given their “HOLLAGRAMZ REMIXED” for the price of, ON THE HOUSE. You can download the album here and check out the stellar tracklist below.

According to Culture Mob, Red Rocks is one of the best outdoor concert amphitheaters. If you live here in Colorado, I’m going to have to ask you to refrain from saying, “duh,” or rolling your eyes. A lot of people have never been nor will ever have the chance to visit the majestic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. We are truly blessed to have such a beautiful setting in our very own backyard.
Dovekin stops by Daytrotter
Dovekins stopped by the barn over at Daytrotter to lay down a session that was released today. You can listen/download the set over here. They’ll be hitting the road and start their tour off at the DIY haven in Boulder, Astroland, and you can check the rest of their itinerary here.
