Reverb @ Twist & Shout: Steve EarleBy Reverb Staff | May 10th, 2011 | 1 Comment »
After our recent Fermented Barley Cabaret, we knew we wanted to partner with Twist & Shout records yet again to showcase unique events in the local music scene. This is the first in a forthcoming series, “Reverb @ Twist & Shout,” in which we will film select in-store performances live at the record store. We’re kicking things off with a banger: Steve Earle.
Earle recently played a handful of oldies and some choice cuts from his latest release, “I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive,” on a cool Thursday evening on East Colfax. In these three videos below, Earle discusses the inspiration for his new album title (Hank Williams), his role in HBO’s “Treme” and his general love of the city of New Orleans.
