Photo essay: Telekinesis @ the Hi-Dive

Telekinesis brought affable indie-pop-rock to the Hi-Dive on Tuesday night. The three-piece band, fronted by Michael Benjamin Lerner, stuck mostly to new material from its February release, “12 Desperate Straight Lines.” Songs like “Car Crash” and “I Cannot Love You” showed Lerner at his best — pounding relentlessly on his floor tom and squinting with sincerity.
