News: Tickets to the UMS to go on sale Tuesday, discount for Reverb readers

It’s one of the biggest music festivals in the Rocky Mountain region, and it’s gotten bigger every year since its inception over a decade ago. We have the exclusive word that tickets to the Denver Post Underground Music Showcase, July 21- 24, will go on sale tomorrow morning, Feb. 15, at 10:00 a.m.

New festival director Kendall Smith called the UMS “…A signature event of Denver Post Community, right alongside Ride the Rockies, Passport to the Arts, Pen and Podium and the Colorado State Spelling Bee.” Smith said that proceeds will benefit local non-profit agencies, to be announced soon.

Given that the UMS and Reverb are part of the same Denver Post family, Reverb readers have access to a special block of discount tickets. By entering the promotional code: “heyreverb.com,” presale 4-day passes are only $20, half off the usual price.

Smith added that those interested in volunteering at this year’s festival should look for updates on www.theums.com as well as the event’s Facebook page.
