Pepper shines with Sublime-influenced rock at the Ogden Theatre - Reverb

Photo essay: Pepper @ the Ogden Theatre

If anyone is caring the torch for rock-reggae today it is Pepper. The trio of guitarist/vocalist Kale Wassman, bassist/vocalist Bret Bollinger and drummer Yesod Williams has worked hard at putting their music under the knife and has come out in stitches with a new release of the same name. Finally Hawaii gives us something other than Jack Johnson.

Pepper took the stage Friday at the Ogden Theatre dressed as surgeons with life size cut-outs of sexy nurses all around the stage. Two girls screamed, “We’ll be your Drunk Girl!” alluding to the group’s most recent album. Energized by the crowd’s excitement, Pepper delivered a fans dream performance.
