News: Rihanna cancels her date with DenverBy Ricardo Baca | July 13th, 2010 | 4 comments
Denver was ready for Rihanna, but was Rihanna ready for Denver?
Apparently not. With little fanfare, Rihanna has cancelled the Denver date of her “Last Girl on Earth” tour on Thursday. The R&B diva was to play Comfort Dental Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village on Thursday, but there is no longer any sign of that show on the singer’s website or livenation.com, where tickets were being sold. Pop star Ke$ha was to open the show.
A Live Nation rep did confirm that Rihanna’s Denver date has been cancelled — not postponed, so it’s not being rescheduled. Refunds are available at point of purchase for ticketholders.
The Live Nation website does include a short note: “Due to a change in Rihanna’s schedule, she can no longer appear in Denver at the Comfort Dental Amphitheater July 15th, 2010. Fans who purchased tickets will receive a refund. Rihanna apologizes to her Denver fans and hopes to make it up to them on the next tour.”
