If you’re wondering when the Legendary River Drifters are finally going to release a full-length record, read on. Photos by Brian Carney.
Not many people showed up to see the Legendary River Drifters play the Oriental Theatre with Laura Goldhamer, but those who did turn up were treated to a special night of music.
Reverb contributor Brian Carney caught up with the River Drifters after the show, and he found out a few things about the exciting Denver band. They’re recording their debut record — for the second time. (The “perfectionists” are taking their time and getting it right, recording it all in their mandolin player’s basement.) The band found that their sound was more rhythmic and upbeat after they added a drummer and changed bass players, so they scrapped the previous session and started anew.
Here is Brian’s photo essay of the evening.
