It’s a competitive field, but the Decemberists are now the indiest band to ever be featured on “The Simpsons.” That’s quite a feat, considering that groups such as R.E.M., Sonic Youth and the White Stripes have all made their way onto the longest-running animated series in the U.S.

Thom Yorke has announced details of the new album by his project, Atoms For Peace. The album will be called “Amok” and group members include Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, producer Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker and Mauro Refosco.
