The Disco Biscuits brought its laser light show and psychedelic sound to a sold out Boulder Theater on Friday night. Their show was rhythmic and the boogie was infectious as the guys had their fans spinning, twirling and flat out dancing as hard as they could.

STS9 at the Fillmore Auditorium, 12/30/12 (review)

Fresh off of Mayan Holidaze, an exclusive Mexican getaway with fellow jammers Umphrey’s McGee and The Disco Biscuits, STS9 returned to Colorado on Sunday for the second of three New Year’s performances at the Fillmore Auditorium, dubbed “Time Within Evolving Living Vehicle Earth.” The spacey quintet –  always one to push the balance between live improvisation and mind-bending programmed production – left a free-spirited crowd more than ready for a New Year’s Eve performance to cap off a vigorous end of 2012.

Electron packs a punch in Fox Theatre set

As far as supergroups go, Electron packs some punch. The Philadelphia project is comprised of Marc Brownstein (bass) and Aron Magner (keys) of the Disco Biscuits, with Lotus drummer Mike Greenfield and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead guitarist Tom Hamilton.
