Remember late last year when Reverb listed a long-awaited new album from Tool as one of the most anticipated rock albums of 2014? Well, now it's a little more shaky on whether or not the world will see a new album this year — even after fans have been itching for new material for eight years.

Tool delivered more punishingly precise art-rock to the masses on Tuesday for the second night of its sold-out Red Rocks appearance, and Reverb contributing photographer Brian Carney was there to soak up the sights -- including the ones off stage and in the audience.

Taking the stage in an ironic Postal Service uniform and clutching a (what we assume was) fake gun, singer Maynard James Keenan led art-rockers Tool through an intense set for the opening night of their two-night, sold-out stint at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
