Just after returning from a sold out European arena tour with P!nk, Denver’s Churchill has announced it will support the pop super star on her U.S. tour.

At the moment, Denver-based band OneRepublic’s new record “Native” is slaying charts all over the world.

“Native” is No. 1 in Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines, according to Interscope, the band’s label. It’s also Top 5 in 23 countries including Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It’s Top 20 in the U.K., Ireland, Poland and Russia.

In support of the new album, “Native,” Colorado’s OneRepublic performed on the 450th episode of “American Idol.” Watch the performance here.

As we’ve previously reported, Fray guitarist/songwriter Joe King is readying his first-ever solo album — under the name King, in fact. And fans are a lot closer to being able to hear his new material, on record and in person.

The Fray’s Joe King is going solo with help from fellow Denver, Colo., musicians Patrick Meese, Ryan Tedder and Nathaniel Rateliff.

OneRepublic not only played the hit, “Feel Again” and the new track, “If I Loose Myself,” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” but took it a step further by playing an original song that promotes cleanliness in light of the brutal flu season.

Some of us don’t have the privilege of littering the nighttime streets of Denver for New Year’s Eve. We could be short on cash, don’t have a sitter sitter, a lack of planning or a combination of all. It used to be Denver bands would move to New York or Los Angeles. To be around other musicians. To be surrounded by music industry. To find like-minded artists. To get signed to an influential label. To be exposed to that big-city art aesthetic.

And while that still happens on occasion, more and more national touring musicians are making a home for themselves in Colorado.

Friday’s concert at the Ogden Theatre brought back the Flobots (who performed at the first Denver Acoustic Christmas in December of 2011), newcomer Zach Heckendorf and Big Head Todd and The Monsters; who unbeknownst to fans performed with a very ill Todd Park Mohr. Mohr, who according to band members had been feeling sick all day, was rushed out of the venue immediately following their set to receive medical attention.
